AboutNews/UpdatesScreenshotsIcon Sets

WeathAlert allows you to replace its weather icons with those of your choosing. Simply create an "icons" directory with your WeathAlert executable, you must place the icons for the weather icons you wish to skin in it. The program will look for the icon name with any of the following extensions: .jpg, .gif, .png, and .bmp--.png is preferred, so that the background will be transparent. Don't bother making them any larger than 88x88.

The filename for each icon is a simple number (except for na); for example, if you wish to replace icon 0 with a png, there should be a file "(weathalert directory)\icons\0.png". Simple. You can download the instructions and icon list here: icon list and instructions. All the default icons are included, so you can see what filename corresponds to which icon image (as well as a description of each icon number).

If you make an icon set, send me a link and I will post it here!

Default weather.com icons in high resolution (1 MB) — these are the default icons at a higher resolution than those included with the download. This was done to make the WeatherAlert download file size smaller (.5 MB vs 1.5 MB).
